I am eager to do a metal piece, but I have read about the "sand castle rule" this one gives me hope.
On the other hand this kind of "square" objects seems to be the easiest to print...

Absolutely. The outer structures are strong enough and the thin parts do not bear any load. Actually, the "official" guidelines are quite conservative, you can easily imagine why. But you can work around and your model can be accepted if they have the feeling, from experience, that it will print.

I essentially try to do innovative fractals, and a standard hypercube is not a fractal and has already been done many times before in 3D print. But if you want to see a kind of 4D Menger cube fractal, here it is: [link]

Merci Damien. Il faut les voir en vrai, c'est beaucoup mieux qu'en photo! Sur celui-ci en particulier la photo donne une impression de rugosité qu'on n'a pas en vrai.

Ce n'est pas donné, mais pas hors de prix non plus. L'investissement principal est le temps à passer pour expérimenter les techniques. Pas d'expo prévue pour l'instant, enfin si, mais ça sera à Marseille en septembre/octobre...
Prochaine étape: surveille les kisoques la semaine prochaine : couverture du magazine Tangente et article de 4 pages par mes soins sur les évolutions de l'art fractal ;)
