3D printers are going to contribute to SO MUCH waste now that they're commercially available to anyone with a decent paycheque... using up plastics just because you can. :/ Earth is doomed.

3D printing might also reduce waste because of the decreasing need for mass production in favor of customization, and reduce transport related carbon emissions thanks to production localization.
