interesting.  I was thinking that, one thing about fractals is that they have no "smooth" surfaces, but I guess the ball shapes here aren't really smooth -- the infinite complexity has just gotten so small you can't render it, so it appears round.

(As a mathematician and computer geek, I've always been fascinated by fractals.)

Interesting.  Yeah, it's been years since I was a real, "practicing" mathematician, but I think he still surfaces now and then...  ;-)

OK, so with the "bubbles", it's an infinite series of spheres inserted into the fractal structure?  I guess I still have a lot to learn about fractals, eh? ;-)

I'll have to bookmark that article and go back when I have time to really absorb it.  In the mean time, I'm enjoying your renderings, both as images and as 3D printing!
