Thanks Nic. I should have told the size : 3.6cm
And the main lesson learned is that the Shapeways' "Frosted (ultra) Detail" material screams to be painted :)

I like that you can print them, but they lack the depth and complexity the normal fractals have.

When you hold them in your hand you don't feel any lack of detail, but I agree that on a photo this can't compete with a digital image :)

Well, yes. But there's a difference in vissual and physical observation. I like looking at large, complicated structures with depth of field and paterns.
