Hello there again, *bib993!

The thing I want to say here, is that it's impressive. All of the wood stump look like volcanoes, and some already ejecting with lava, either blue or red. It's like made of wood, and personally I don't like this, because it looks like you made your own "crash fractal" meaning the fractal has been created from a computer crash. I like the "sculptures" though, like if they were carved. The grass is beautiful too, but for some reason, the grass becomes more light green for afar and doesn't look real anymore. So I'm not disappointed but I hope you make more good work. :D

When I first saw the thumbnail for this in the fractals category, I thought to myself "this has to be a mistake." Upon clicking the link however, I was blown away. This is one of the coolest fractals that I've ever seen and I've seen a lot.

The design is superb, but what really makes this fractal shine is the colors that were used. Really now, have you ever seen a better implemented color scheme to take a fractal and turn it into a landscape? The shifting brown and grayish tones of the rocky outcroppings compliment the lush greens of the forest below. These give way to the ethereal blue haze (or perhaps waterfalls at the name of the piece suggests) in the two pillar like complexes on the right of the piece, which are contrasted by the crimson of the pit in the center. The terrain in the distance plateaus against a sky illuminated by the light of the complexes and the mountains.

I can't believe I just said all of that about a fractal, but this piece takes the abstract and meshes it so perfectly with what we're familiar with that I think the interpretation works.

If there is one thing that could be changed to make the piece slightly more appealing, it might be a tweak of the algorithms to give the sheer mountain faces a little bit more visible texture, but such a feat is likely impossible without fundamentally altering the landscape.

Absolutely stunning! I know how hard it is to get fractals to cooperate, and you deserve a DD at least for this.

Very amazing color layout and intriguing theme, with beautiful and interesting elements here and there to make this whole experience of enjoying art worthy of our time. Hope to see more of such works be done and displayed on this website which both you and me and all of us will have a great time viewing and learn just a little bit or a lot from!
