Someday fractal artists will have a way of having a viewer 'zoom' (bada bang) into a selected portion of a completed work , sort of take a digital tour. There may already be that kind of tech. I guess some of the games embody the concept. Hopelessly hokey I am ? Beast 1 is fantastic !
Excuse me. I just got off the bus. Damien's site is scrumptious ! Perhaps one reason fractals are so compelling is that our brains are hardwired to KNOW they exist EVERYWHERE in nature. How many of us know what we know, in the truest sense ? That's a fractallated question. Thanks for putting up wid me.
You want to know what these somewhat remind me of? I used to mess around with a program named "bryce" or something... it would make 3D models purely based on arbitrary numbers I'd place into it. But it looks like you might have tinkered with something like that a lot more than I had patience for and you've possibly developed a knowledge of all sorts of different effects that you can create. It's interesting stuff.
Thanks Johan, this is only the beginning. When I found this yesterday evening I was really in awe in front of my PC. I have started to explore the details, and I can assure you that I had never seen that before, probably one of the most intriguing and fascinating fractal I have ever seen. This is more or less taken from the same fractal as the "Amazing Underwater Object", but in another area. I had already started to try to explore this area, but without success. For some reason, I KNEW there was something interesting over there, so I came back, tweaked the params, and finally found it. I'm so excited!!
Funny, I have the same feeling about my latest find... also a multi-iterated box with some new ingredients... filled with shapes which reminds me about my old oil paintings, shapes that means something special to me. Nice that we both have a new world of wonders to explore, I know the feeling when it pops up after weeks of searching!
